FAQs

What is hypnosis?

It’s the process in which you’re in a more centred and focussed place and more susceptible to making suggested (and previously agreed) changes.

Will I be put into a trance?

No. You’ll be encouraged to close your eyes through a relaxing induction but it’s not compulsory and, despite having their eyes shut, clients are awake/aware during the process therefore much more likely to benefit from treatment as a result.

Is hypnosis dangerous? Will I be out of control?

No. It’s completely safe and you will be aware but relaxed the whole time. If at any point you feel uncomfortable you can always request to stop the process at any time.

Is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy something that's done to me?

No. It’s a collaborative process in which your goals and what you want to achieve are at the centre of all treatment. The idea is that over time you learn new techniques (that are particular to you) to use on yourself going forward so that you’re strong and self-reliant in your target situation in the future.
